Daniel Stickel, CEO
Dan has worked in the software industry for >20 years, most recently as CEO of WebTrends, and before that as Head of Syndication Products at Google, where he and his team helped bring in millions of new users and $2B+ in annual revenues. Prior to Google, he served as EVP & GM at Macrovision, where he grew the software licensing group 4x in revenue in 3 years, reaching >$100M in revenue. Dan started his career at AT&T Bell Labs, and has both an undergraduate and a graduate degree from Harvard University.
Andrew McLennan, CMO and Founder
Andrew is an experienced entrepreneur who has founded 5 start-up companies since 1993, including Metaforic. Andrew has held all the key management roles in startups including CEO, CCO, and COO. Andrew has an honors degree from Strathclyde University in Mechanical Engineering with Aerodynamics.
Neil Stewart, CTO and Founder
Neil is a gifted technologist and a security specialist who has headed both technology research and software production at several companies, holding roles from Lead Programmer to Chief Technical Officer before co-founding Metaforic. Neil is an honors graduate in Computer Science from Stirling University.
Linda MacKellar, CLO, VP Operations, and Founder
Linda serves as our Chief Legal Officer and VP of Operations. She is a specialist in IP/IT Law and has worked with pioneering law firms in this area as well as running her own legal practice. She has been a co-founder at 3 start-ups including Metaforic. Linda has an honors degree LLB and DipLP from Dundee University and a Master of Laws degree in Computer and Information Technology Law from Strathclyde University.
Aki Kodama, President, Metaforic Japan
Aki (Akifumi) Kodama runs Metaforic’s Japanese operations. Aki previously served as President of Gracenote Japan for 7 years until it was acquired by Sony, and also served as President of 3DO Japan, Xpeed Networks KK, Maxis KK and as SVP at Electronic Arts Square after the sale of Maxis to Electronic Arts. Aki has his degree from Keio University.
Bruce Costello, VP Sales
Bruce has been a sales leader for over 25 years, providing solutions in a variety of industries. As Sales VP at Cadence, start-ups Synfora and Right Hemisphere, he's led teams focused on delivering significant customer value, enabling large transaction wins, some in excess of $100m. Bruce originally started his career in engineering, and performed his undergraduate studies at London's Imperial College.
Douglas Kinloch, VP Business Development
Douglas is responsible for global business development. Prior to Metaforic he worked with several start-up companies, driving company growth, international market development and successfully managing close engagements with US and Asian "Blue-Chip" corporations. His career began at Eastman Kodak where he was an original member of Kodak’s Digital Imaging Division. Douglas studied at Napier University, Edinburgh.
