William Krepick, Chairman
Bill has >30 years experience in high tech marketing/executive roles, most significantly as CEO of Macrovision, leading Macrovision from a small, private company in the security and anti-piracy space, through to IPO in 1997, and going on to build the company to achieve annual revenues >$200M and a market cap >$1B. Bill holds an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Stanford University.
Daniel Stickel, CEO
Dan has worked in the software industry for >20 years, most recently as CEO of WebTrends, and before that as Head of Syndication Products at Google, where he and his team helped bring in millions of new users and $2B+ in annual revenues. Prior to Google, he served as EVP & GM at Macrovision, where he grew the software licensing group 4x in revenue in 3 years, reaching >$100M in revenue. Dan started his career at AT&T Bell Labs, and has both an undergraduate and a graduate degree from Harvard University.
Andrew McLennan, Founder
Andrew is an experienced entrepreneur who has founded 5 start-up companies since 1993, including Metaforic. Andrew has held all the key management roles in startups including CEO, CCO, and COO. Andrew has an honors degree from Strathclyde University in Mechanical Engineering with Aerodynamics.
Neil Stewart, Founder
Neil is gifted technologist and a security specialist who has headed both technology research and software production at several companies, holding roles from Lead Programmer to Chief Technical Officer before co-founding Metaforic. Neil is an honors graduate in Computer Science from Stirling University.
Craig Anderson, Non-Executive Director
Craig is a partner at Pentech Ventures. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen and then became Group Financial Controller at Kwik-Fit plc. Following the £1billion sale of Kwik-Fit to Ford, he joined Voxar, a 3D medical imaging software company, in 2001 as Chief Financial and Operating Officer. Voxar became the fastest growing healthcare IT company in Europe and was then acquired for €40million by Barco in 2004. Craig was then CEO at Nallatech, a technology and market innovator in high-performance computing, which he then sold to US-based Interconnect Systems Inc in 2008.
Fred Hallsworth, Non-Executive Director
Fred has over 30 years experience assisting companies complete their fund raising, M&A, IPO and trade sale transactions. He has worked with a range of technology, media and communications companies from pre-revenue start-ups to FTSE 100, including Autonomy Corporation. His executive positions have included Head of Corporate Finance, Head of Audit and Managing Partner of Andersen Cambridge, Managing Partner of Andersen Scotland, Board Member Andersen UK Partnership Council, and Senior Client Service Partner and Head of TMC of Deloitte Scotland. Stuart Paterson, Non-Executive Director
Stuart is a partner at SEP, focusing on Internet, communications, and IT Services. He has helped a number of outstanding entrepreneurs build world class companies, and backed later stage companies to strengthen their capital base and add investor expertise ahead of IPO or M&A activity. His notable successes over the past decade include Orbital Software (LSE), CSR (LSE), Libra (Agilent), Core Data (Rolls Royce), and Gigle Networks (BRCM). Stuart has a joint degree in Accounting & Computing Science, a CA from his career at Ernst & Young, and has completed the Harvard Business School Venture Capital Executive program.
